£1,442 raised for RNLI as cars queue up in Burnham for washes

-

Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station’s crew washed 89 cars during a fundraising car wash that raised over £700 on Saturday (April 6th).

The crew had a constant stream of cars during the four hour event, which was held at the lifeboat station in Pier Street.

Burnham Lifeboat Operations Manager Ricky Holmes told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We would like to thank members of the public for their support, and in particular the operators of the car wash next door who remained closed to allow us to maximise our donations.”

He said that when Saturday’s donations of £742.70 were added to the £704 collected at last month’s event, a total of £1,442.70 had been raised for the RNLI.
