Burnham-On-Sea hosts three-day rugby festival at BASC Ground

-

Over 2,000 people attended a rugby festival in Burnham-On-Sea over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Youth rugby clubs from across the country took part in the 15th annual event, organised by Gullivers Sports Travel, at the town’s BASC Ground.

Burnham Rugby Club’s Under 13 side (pictured) represented the town and played well over the three days, finishing second in their age group.

Organiser Neil Rayer told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had a super turnout of around 2,800 people – including parents of the children taking part – who enjoyed a great weekend of rugby and social activities.”

“Children aged 8-13 from across the UK took part. After last year’s poor weather, it was great to have a weekend of sunshine.”
