Secret World open weekend underway this Bank Holiday weekend

-

Visitors to Secret World Wildlife Rescue near Burnham-On-sea this bank holiday open weekend will be able to see an array of baby animals.

The cold start to spring has resulted in an orphans baby boom, with staff and volunteers now at full stretch caring for the growing number of baby birds, badgers, hedgehogs, fox cubs and other wild animals.

Charity founder Pauline Kidner told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “There will be lots to interest families and other visitors, including wildlife talks, displays and ferret racing, when we host our special Wildlife Babies event on Saturday May 25th, Sunday 26th and Monday 27th.”

Opening hours are from 10am to 4pm and although admittance to the centre in East Huntspill is free, donations will be welcome.

“People will also have the opportunity to take part in our ‘animal adoptions’ programme which gives participants a valuable opportunity to learn more about wild animals,” added Pauline.
