Burnham-On-Sea’s Southleigh Kindergarten held its final garden party on Saturday (May 18th) before closing down later this year.
The kindergarten in Rectory Road was open to all past children, parents and staff ahead of the retirement of its owners.
Alongside traditional games, stalls and refreshments, there was a grand auction, bouncy castle, and a visit by a Burnham fire truck and BARB’s rescue hovercraft plus Burnham’s Bubble Man.
Burnham’s Mayor, Cllr Martin Cox, also dropped in to judge a fancy dress competition during the afternoon.
“It was a very special garden party for us this year,” the kindergarten’s Lynn Easton told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“It was great to so many past children, parents and staff from over the years, re-visiting some very special Southleigh memories.”
The current owners, Alex and Lynne, will be retiring later in the summer.
