gales and heavy rain raise flood threat in Burnham area

Burnham area has, however, managed to avoid the damaging flooding
seen elswehere in Somerset this week.
Environment Agency issued new flood warnings across the South
West last night and urged people to take care, particularly around
low-lying areas such as the Somerset Levels.
Office chief forecaster Eddy Carroll, said: "Another Atlantic
depression will bring a further spell of wet and windy weather
to the UK. Rain falling on to saturated ground brings the risk
of further flooding."
