Gale force winds whipped up storm waves in Burnham-On-Sea on Thursday evening.
It came after the Met Office issued a yellow warning of high winds as an Atlantic storm moved through the region, bringing with it winds gusting up to 60mph.
Several trees were blown down, including one that temporarily closed Harp Road near Burnham on Thursday afternoon.
