Burnham-On-Sea tennis club and school join passport programme

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Avenue Tennis Club and Lympsham School have signed up to a national programme aimed at recognising the achievements of young players.

The Children’s University Programme aims to encourage youngsters aged 5–14 take part in exciting quality activities outside of normal school hours.

“The main aim of the Children’s University is to raise the aspirations of our young people by introducing them to a wide range of learning opportunities and a love of lifetime learning. Children are all given their own ‘Passport to Learning’ in which they are encouraged to collect hours of learning towards nationally recognised certificates for completing learning,” the Avenue Club’s Vinny Duddy told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The Burnham club will be running an open day on Easter Sunday, March 31st, and has invited the public to come along and enjoy some tennis fun from 11am until 1pm. No equipment is needed as it will be available on the day.
