Heatwave weather to deliver tourism boost to Burnham-On-Sea

-

Tourism businesses in the Burnham-On-Sea area are preparing for a bumper weekend as forecasters predict temperatures will be hotter than parts of the Mediterranean.

The Burnham-On-Sea area looks set to enjoy its hottest days of the year if the weather forecasts are correct, as shown above.

Ian Jefferies, manager at Burnham’s tourist information centre, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Many local holiday parks have been very busy this week with advance bookings thanks to the excellent weather. It looks like being an especially busy weekend.”

The Met Office predicts the south west is in for a hot spell as temperatures reach 24 degrees centigrade (75F) on Sunday with only light winds and a “zero per cent chance of rain.”

The hot weather is also forecast to continue into next week with temperatures of 27c (81F) forecast for Monday. The highest temperature so far this year in Burnham was 23.1C on 6th June.
