Mayor to open Burnham residential home's summer fete today

Burnham-On-Sea's Mayor will be opening a residential home's annual summer fete today (Saturday).

The event at Towans Residential Home in Berrow Road will be held from 2.30pm and will be raising money for local Rotary charities.

It will be opened by Burnham and Highbridge Mayor Cllr Martin Cox (pictured) and Chloe Edrich, a young pupil from King Alfred School who has made it through to the National Swimming Championships in Sheffield.

"There will be many stalls, games and displays for all to enjoy - it will be a super event. All are welcome," a spokesman told
