for new town crier in Burnham-On-Sea gets underway
search for a new Burnham-On-Sea town crier has been launched this
person is being sought to take on the traditional role to promote
local events in Burnham during this year's tourist season.
previous town crier passed away four years ago and the position
has not been filled since.
though, members of Burnham Town Team, BIARS and the Chamber of
Trade are working together on a project to find a local person
to fill the role.

from the town's history or to follow a traditional approach of

who can be male or female, but needs to be aged over 18. A costume
will be supplied and made for you."

four locations across Burnham town centre to promote local events
in Burnham. He or she will also be invited to perform at various
public events in the town.
