Highbridge vet surgery celebrates becoming UK Practice of the Year

-

Staff at a Highbridge veterinary surgery are celebrating this week after being named UK Vet Practice of the Year at a national awards ceremony.

Bridge Veterinary Surgery in Worston Road impressed the judges so much with its levels of customer service that it scooped the top award at the Petplan Veterinary Awards in Birmingham.

The pratice’s Scott Parry told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “There were over 7,000 nominations for the Practice of the Year award so we are thrilled and honoured to have won.”

“We are only a small practice and were up against some big surgeries, but we pride ourselves on offering super customer service with a solid ethos and this was recognised by the judges.”

It was also a great night for Scott personally since he won the award for Vet Nurse of the Year.

He was nominated by Rita Hinton, North Somerset branch secretary for the RSPCA, for the work he and his wife Ann carry out looking after animals at the charity’s Brent Knoll centre.

Scott and Ann, right, recently vaccinated more than 50 dogs following an outbreak of Parvo Virus at a travellers’ site. He also spends many hours at the RSPCA centre helping with the rehabilitation of dogs.
