Brave Vinnie raises over £1,000 during Highbridge sponsored walk

-

A brave youngster from Highbridge who suffers from Cerebral Palsy raised over £1,000 by holding a fundraising walk in aid of charity on Saturday (April 27th).

A crowd of supporters, friends and family members joined Vinnie Triggol in his mile-long walk around Apex Park in aid of the Bridgwater-based British Institute for Brain Injured Children (BIBIC).

Vinnie was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when he was two years-old and has therefore faced more challenges than many children.

Mandy Triggol, Vinnie’s Mum, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were delighted to see so many people turn out to support him – it was great for Vinnie to have such strong backing.”

She added that £1,184.05 had been raised for BIBIC so far. “We chose BIBIC because of Vinnie’s condition and they help so many children. Vinnie wanted to be able to help lots of children with Cerebral Palsy as well as those with different special needs to himself.”

She added her and Vinnie’s thanks for all those who have given donations towards Vinnie’s fundraising so far.

Vinnie, who celebrated his ninth birthday on Friday, is asking anyone who wishes to make a donation to his fundraising efforrs to do so via his Just Giving page.
