Horse-drawn carriage trip through Burnham for newly-wed couple

Shoppers in Burnham-On-Sea’s High Street were forgiven for thinking they’d stepped back in time on Saturday (June 15th) when this traditional horse-drawn carriage came through the town.

Newly-wed Burnham couple Dan and Charlotte Power, pictured, took a trip through the town centre after their wedding at the town’s Catholic Church in Highbridge Road.

Charlotte told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a wonderful surprise from my mum on our big day. Horses were a part of my childhood, so it was a really special surprise.”

“Fortunately, the rain held off just long enough for the carriage’s hood to come down so we could fully enjoy it. It was a wonderful, memorable day!”
