Burnham couple’s Christmas lights raise over £6,000 for hospice

-

A Burnham-On-Sea couple has switched on their dazzling display of Christmas lights – which have raised over £6,000 for charity during the past 13 years.

Mike and Denice Perrin from Wilde Close decorate their home with thousands of fairy lights each Christmas to raise funds for St Margaret’s Hospice.

They have raised thousands of pounds for the charity through collections outside their home.

The couple switched on this year’s impressive display – which covers the whole of the house’s exterior – in front of a crowd of onlookers, friends and neighbours on Saturday evening.

Mike told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A big thank you goes to everyone who supports our fundraising each year. We love hoilding the display and raising money for such a good cause.”

The couple’s lights will be illuminated every night from 4.30pm-9.30pm throughout the festive period and are well worth a visit.

The couple have also raised £3,166 for St Margaret’s Hospice by holding bric-a-brac sales over the past year.
