local bakers competed in The Great Burnham Bake Off during the
town's Food and Drink Festival on Saturday.

being judged by Matt Faulkner from BBC Somerset, local business
owner Debbie March and Sedgemoor District Council's Vicky Banham
(all pictured top).
Kate Heappey won the overall champion's trophy after her Halloween-themned
cake was judged the best in show.
competition, sponsored by Burnham's Positive Wealth Creation,
also saw prizes awarded to Steve Bird (best individual bread),
Kate Heappey (best individual cake), Dusica Roberts (best professional
cake), Trish Mander (technical challenge), and the Winstone family
(best family entry).
Matt Faulkner from BBC Somerset told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The
entries were fantastic - it was great to see such enthusiasm and
talent being shown."
Alex Turco from Positive Wealth Creation added: "It was great
to see such a high turnout of great quality entries - we are delighted
to give our support to this wonderful event."
next Great Burnham Bake Off will take place next May during the
Spring Burnham-On-Sea Food & Drink Festival - more details
