pensioners celebrate 100th and 103rd birthdays!
of Burnham-On-Sea's oldest residents have celebrated their 100th
and 103rd birthdays this week.
Cotton, pictured right with husband Harry, marked her 100th
birthday with a special celebration with neighbours, family and
friends at Berrow Golf Club on Tuesday (October 7th).
enjoyed a surprise visit by Burnham's Mayor, Cllr Martin Cox,
who dropped in to wish her a happy day.
said her secret to looking so young is "keeping busy and
doing things you enjoy."
another Burnham resident, Katherine Owen, known as Katie, pictured
below, marked her 103rd birthday on Monday with a celebration
at Elizabeth Court with friends and residents.
has been living in her own flat there for about five years after
moving from The Midlands to be nearer her family. Katie effortlessly
blew out the candles on her cake and enjoyed a tea party with
celebrating her 103rd birthday in Burnham-On-Sea this week
