A charitable book shop that was in operation in Burnham-On-Sea over the summer has raised over £3,000 for local good causes.

Burnham Rotary Club ran its seasonal book shop at 62 The High Street in the former Watermark Wealth Management premises from May until the end of September.

During this period sales of books and CDs donated by the public raised over £3,250 which will be used by the club for charitable purposes in the locality,” the group’s George Moon told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The club wishes to thank Watermark Wealth Management and agents Gary Berryman for the use of the premises. Thanks are also due to everyone who has donated books for sale during the summer.

The Club has further projects in hand. Rotarians make the charity collection at the Town Fireworks Display and assist in the Carnival.
