New police appeal after Brean crash leaves girl in ‘serious condition’

-

A girl who was struck by a car in the centre of Brean last week remains in a ‘serious condition’, police have said as they issue a fresh appeal for witnesses.

The teenager was struck by a car in South Road near the entrance to Brean Leisure Park last Tuesday (May 27th), as pictured.

A police spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com this week that the girl is in a “serious, but stable condition in hospital.”

She was air-lifted by air ambulance to Bristol Royal Infirmary where she is being treated for multiple serious injuries.

Signs have been installed at the scene this week asking anyone who saw the incident to contact police on the non-emergency number 101.

“Officers were called shortly after 5pm last Tuesday after a car was in collision with a pedestrian close to the leisure centre.”

“A young woman was air-lifted by air ambulance to Bristol Royal Infirmary where has been treated for multiple serious injuries.”

“Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw the incident or who has information.”
