brewing has seen a revival in recent years with sales of home
brewing kits for cider, beer and wine up by 75% at some outlets
with this in mind, the Burnham Food & Drink Festival is bringing
back its popular brewing competition to its autumn event on Saturday
Residents in the Burnham area who are brewing their own drinks
will get a chance to test their expertise against other brewers
and fermentors in The Great Burnham Brew Off.
competition is free to enter and has classes for beer, liqueurs
and infusions such as sloe gin and rhubarb vodka.
Festival Director Bev Milner Simonds said: "This is a fun
competition with all home brewers encouraged to look out a bottle
of their top-tipple and bring it along to The Princess Theatre
before 11am on 25th October for judging."
