Burnham-On-Sea family raise £3,000 for Cancer support centre

-

A Burnham-On-Sea Cancer sufferer has this week thanked his family for raising thousands of pounds towards a support centre.

Peter Lsucombe is receiving treatment for Germ Cell Cancer. His mum Elaine and Aunt, Celia Martin, have carried out a summer fundraising campaign to raise money for the centre that’s helping him.

They have raised £3,000 by completing a sponsored head shave at The Reed’s Arms on Burnham seafront plus coffee mornings and other fundraisers.

Peter, pictured with Elaine and Celia, said: “I am so grateful for their wonderful fundraising and for raising such a fantastic sum. I would also like to thank all those who have donated and supported them.”

All money raised is going to the Hammersmith Hospital and the Velindre Cancer Hospital in Cardiff where Peter has been treated and his family supported.

Elaine said: “We are so grateful for all the support that the hospital has given us and we wanted to help them by raising money for the work they do. We are delighted to have raised a good sum for the centre.”
