The driver of this upturned car has been found unhurt after a crash near Burnham-On-Sea on Monday evening (December 29th).

Emergency services from Burnham-On-Sea were called to the car on its roof in a ditch in Brean Road, Lympsham at 8pm, as we reported here.

Two fire appliances from Burnham-On-Sea plus a rescue tender from Glastonbury attended amid initial concerns that a person was trapped inside the vehicle.

Crews used water safey equipment and a thermal imaging camera to search for the driver, but found no-one inside.

A fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Tuesday that the driver had later been located and had managed to scramble free from the car and get help before the crews arrived.
