Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station’s car wash fundraiser raises £700

-

87 vehicles were washed by crewmembers at Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station at the weekend to raise hundreds of pounds for the RNLI.

Members of the boat and shore crew teams worked hard during Saturday’s event, with the vehicles leaving the lifeboat station with a pristine finish.

Around £680 was raised, and an extra donation meant the final tally was £700.

Lifeboat Operations Manager Matt Davies said: “A big thanks to all those that helped out at the car wash and an extra special thanks to those who stayed all day – we can’t do it without you.”

Senior helmsman Nick Edrich added: “Totting up the amount raised from the previous three car washes and open day, we found the total raised for this year has reached £3,000 which is a brilliant result!”
