Photos: Burnham and Highbridge join world's biggest coffee morning

Hundreds of people across the Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge area raised their coffee mugs for charity on Friday to join the 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning'.

Fundraisers held several scores of events as part of the nationwide campaign in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Highbridge's St John's Church Hall and the town's Medical Centre held well-attended events.

And in Burnham, The Princess Theatre held its own fundraiser for Macmillan on Saturday (27th September), attended by the Mayor Cllr Martin Cox.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s flagship event. Last year, 51,000 people signed up to the coffee morning, raising over £10million for the charity. Macmillan improves the lives of people affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support.
