Police have named the Burnham-On-Sea pensioner who died after
struck by a passing car in the town.
Doreen Pope died five
days after she was hit by a Nissan car at 5.18pm last Tuesday
(January 14th) at the junction of Berrow Road and Shelley Drive,
The lady's family have released a short tribute to her, stating:
"Doreen Pope, aged 85, deeply loved mother and grandmother
who will be sadly missed by all the family."

investigating the crash have installed signs around the site of
police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The circumstances
of the collision are still being investigated and police have
asked for anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch via
the Collision Investigation Unit on 101."

and a pedestrian collided. The pedestrian was knocked to the ground
and was taken to Frenchay Hospital. Despite receiving medical
treatment she died on Sunday."
