-

Police, ambulance and fire crews were kept busy during an afternoon of incidents in Burnham-On-Sea and Berrow on Friday (May 16th).

One person was taken to hospital following a two-car collision in Burnham-On-Sea’s Berrow Road on Friday lunchtime (May 16th). Three fire crews from Burnham and Taunton were called to the incident at 12.50pm.

A fire spokesman said crews assisted paramedics with the removal of one casualty from a car, who was taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Meanwhile, Berrow’s Red Road was closed for almost two hours on Friday afternoon, as pictured here, following a crash between a car and a van. One person, a lady, was left “shaken” but not hurt said a Burnham Police spokeswoman.

Crews were also called to a crash in West Huntspill later on Friday afternoon, as reported here.
