Burnham-On-Sea Cricket Club has been given a £1,000 funding boost by Somerset County Council’s Health and Wellbeing Fund.

Burnham North County Councillor Peter Burridge-Clayton handed over the funds to the club towards the cost of new club equipment on Sunday (November 30th).

Peter Gaylard, Ground Committee Chairman, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Burnham Cricket Club are delighted to accept £1,000 as a grant from Somerset County Council.”

“The money will be used for much-need training equipment to encourage and enable new and particularly younger players who want to take up the sport.”
