by Burnham's Mayor Cllr Martin Cox and saw over 30 emergency services
from across the West Country taking part.

advice, while life-saving demonstrations took place in the sea
and on the beach.
featured BARB's hovercrafts, RNLI lifeboats, Coastguards, lifeguards
and a parade of 4x4 trucks. A 30-minute display by an RAF helicopter
was among the highlights of the day, with 'casualties' being winched
from the sea into the air.

"We are delighted with the crowd numbers, which were helped
by great weather and the timing of the Stert Island Swim on the
same day. We thank those organisations and supporters who came
along and for all those who dug deep and supported the charities
also thanked all those who had given to the BARB street collection
on the day, which raised a sum of £338.83.
