Hundreds of pounds worth of fresh fish was stolen from a Burnham-On-Sea fishmonger early on Saturday morning (March 8th).

Seafoods in Burnham High Street had a large quantity of stock taken, including sea bass and 15 kilos of salmon.

“We are keen for an appeal to go out in case the fish is being offered for sale locally,” the store’s Gaynor Wright told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The theft took place in the early hours of Saturday morning at the rear of the shop – the fish was packed in polystyrene boxes.”

Anyone with information should contact Burnham Police via the non-emergency number 101.
