Thick fog will make driving conditions hazardous in the Burnham-On-Sea area today (Friday), forecasters have warned.

A ‘yellow warning’ of fog has been issued for the region by the Met Office.

“Fog patches will form widely on Friday morning. The fog is likely to be dense and will be slow to clear through the day,” said a spokesman.

“Visibility is likely to fall below 100 metres at times, locally less than 50 metres.”

“The public should be aware of the likelihood of difficult driving conditions and some travel disruption.”
