Highbridge’s Folk On The Green hailed a success despite the weather

-

A whirlwind of entertainment blew into Highbridge town centre on Sunday (August 10th) when a great line-up of local musicians performed in a marquee on the town green despite the threat of former Hurricane Bertha outside.

Folk On The Green went ahead next to Highbridge Community Hall in Market Street despite the Met Office’s weather warning.

Local groups Lost In The Grass and Lazy Horse & Friends were joined at the event by Jo Casta and local blues specialists Nick and Chris Elswood.

The free event, organised by Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society (CADS), was hailed a big success with the audience enjoying a great afternoon of entertainment with sunny weather outside.
