In Photos: Burnham-On-Sea FolkFest draws crowds to town centre

Music fans crowded streets, pubs and clubs in Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday when dozens of live music and dance acts performed across the town during the annual FolkFest.

Organisers said the ninth annual event, which began on Thursday, was the 'best yet' with record crowd numbers, helped by the dry and mild weather.

Ten hours of live music from over 50 performers was held on Saturday at each venue, including The Princess, Victoria, the Somerset & Dorset, the Royal Clarence, The Waterfront and The Ritz.

In addition to live music, there were also street entertainers including human statues and stilt walkers, children's activities, dancers, a craft market and free workshops.

On Sunday, the action shifted to Burnham's Manor Gardens where there was a traders market, KidZone, food and a bar. Musical performers were Steve James at 1pm; Sun Dog Days at 2pm; local stars Fallen Apples at 3pm; brilliant folk duo The Drystones at 4pm; and the wonderfully colourful bhangra band RSVP at 5pm.
