A funeral directors in Burnham-On-Sea has been given a £150,000 refurbishment and a special event was held this week to mark its completion.

Reverend Graham Witts blessed the premises and its staff during the function at Burnham Funeral Services in Oxford Street.

Managing Director Richard Marsh said: “There has been a lot of disturbance and work in the building over the past year so we invited Reverend Witts to hold a ceremony to rededicate the building and lead prayers to re-introduce peace back into the building.”

“The work has included the introduction of a new mortuary and embalming facilities plus two new vehicles to offer families the most in comfort.”

The firm, which is the only qualified independent family-owned funeral directors serving Burnham and the surrounding area, has been running for 23 years.
