TV chef from BBC’s ‘Great British Bake Off’ visits Burnham-On-Sea

-

A high-profile TV chef visited Burnham-On-Sea last night (Friday) to hold a unique show.

Glenn Cosby, a contestant on the BBC’s ‘Great British Bake Off 2013’ brought his UK tour to The Princess Theatre for the opening event of the town’s Food and Drink Festival.

His live cooking show, called ‘Bake It Big with Glenn Cosby’, let the audience get up close and personal with him as he made his bakes.

“It was a great event – the 70 people in the audience had a superb evening,” Princess Manager Sam Nicol told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“An enormous banoffee cake was made by Glenn and his helper for the evening, Christine Wallace. We also saw a competition to whisk egg whites which was won by young Emily Thomas – and it was all inter-mingled with Glenn’s wonderful jokes, cooking stories and fun,” she said.

The whole evening was filmed by a TV production company for the preview show of this year’s ‘Great British Bake Off’.

Glenn will also be in town today for the Food & Drink Festival to judge ‘The Great Burnham Bake Off’.
