A horse was winched free after getting stuck in a water-filled ditch in Stretcholt, near Bridgwater, on Saturday afternoon (February 15th).
Fire crews from Bridgwater and Burnham-On-Sea were sent to Seymour Farm, along with a vet, at around 12 noon.
“The vet sedated the horse, which was then hoisted to safety using lines and a farmer’s telehandler,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
