photos: Over £1,500 raised at Burnham Hospital fete despite
weather forced Burnham-On-Sea's traditional August Bank Holiday
summer fete indoors on Monday - but it was still a success with
over £1,500 being raised.
fete was held inside at St Andrew's Church Hall and the Methodist
Church Hall instead of the soggy Manor Gardens due to the inclement
were still able to enjoy a fun line-up of games, stalls and refreshments
in both halls and local people turned out in droves to support
the town's hospital.
Deahl, Chairman of the Hospital Friends, told Burnham-On-Sea.com
that takings had exceeded £2,200 and that the final profit
would be in excess of £1,500.

on a fine day, nevertheless it is a considerable one and will
help to improve the lot of both patients and staff at the hospital."
