Heavy rain failed to stop play at Burnham’s annual Jazz In The Park on Sunday (June 8th).

Torrential downpours led to the audience diving for cover several times throughout the afternoon, but the foot-tapping line-up of tunes continued.

Terry Williams’ Ambasadors of Jazz, a full local seven-piece band headlined the popular event.

And they were supported by The Frampton Footwarmers jazz band playing Dixieland Jazz. The Somernotes also provided a popular song mix along with local duo Driftwood.

Mike Murphy of CADS, The Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society, which organises the popular free concerts said the event had been a success despite the weather.
