Video: Stranded digger pulled to safety by farmer on Brean beach

-

A digger had to be pulled to safety by a farmer’s tractor after getting stranded on Brean beach on Saturday (May 17th).

The digger was carrying out a beach clean during the current good weather, but got into difficulty when its wheels sank into the soft sand and mud.

Brean farmer Richard Bigwood used his tractor to haul the digger up the beach to safety after several attempts.

Digger operator Rob Smith told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were carrying out a beach clean for a nearby caravan park and went down the beach a little too far when the wheels got sank, stopping us from moving.”

“We were grateful for the help of Richard Bigwood for coming to our rescue and also had BARB on standby to help too.”
