lifeboat station to hold open day this Sunday
RNLI lifeboat station will be holding an open day this Sunday
(July 27th) when visitors will be able to find out more about
number of activities and demonstrations will be taking place throughout
the day from 10am-4pm, including a lifeboat launch and a fundraising
event starts at the station in Burnham's Pier Street and will
be followed at 10.30am by a call-out of the D-Class lifeboat in
a launch demonstration.
at 1pm, the crewmembers will be holding a lifeboat and land rover
pull from Burnham jetty along The Esplanade and through the High
Street before finishing at the station.
the day there will be a photo competition with a TV as a prize
and displays will include the RNLI Flood Team LandRover, RNLI
Beach Lifeguards, plus Welly Wanging with a prize of a wakeboarding
lesson, a tombola and raffle, a Stormy Stan throwing game, a cake
sale and refreshments.
