Lifeboat crews from Burnham-On-Sea rescued a stranded powerboat on Saturday (August 23rd).

Crews were called out at around 9am when two people onboard the boat, called Trinity, pictured above, alerted Coastguards that they were drifting without power to the west of Stert Island.

Both RNLI lifeboats were launched from Burnham, as pictured here, and the boat and its occupants were towed to the town where the boat was moored until the high tide in the evening.

A Coastguard spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The vessel had suffered an engine failure and no-one was hurt onboard. It was moored in Burnham at the end of the slipway until the owner recovered it later in the day.”
