Burnham-On-Sea Coastguards were called out in the early of hours of Monday morning (June 2nd) to search for a missing person on Berrow beach.

The crew was alerted at 3.20am when a 26 year-old man was reported to be in a distressed state on Berrow beach.

Coastguards used torches to successfully find the man, who was covered in mud, and an ambulance took him away for treatment.

A separate missing person was also successfully found on Brean Down on Monday evening following a brief search.
