Residents across Burnham-On-Sea celebrated the start of 2014 with a night of special events including a masquerade ball.

175 people crowded into Burnham’s Princess Theatre where local group the Ginger Hitlas played at a New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball.

The event, run by The Friends of The Princess, saw attendees ‘dress to impress’ with masks a must!

And 200 people attended a New Year’s Eve party at Berrow Village Hall where the capacity audience enjoyed a disco leading up to those all-important chimes of Big Ben which heralded the start of 2014.

Burnham’s Three Streets neighbourhood group also held its annual New Year’s Eve Party at Lakeside Holiday Park. And members and supporters of Burnham Rugby Club also gathered at the BASC ground for a celebratory party.

Many local pubs in the Burnham area were also filled with revellers as live music attracted punters.
