Pop star Lady Gaga gets kidnapped... at Brent Knoll Scarecrow Festival!

Music star Lady Gaga made a brief appearance in Brent Knoll at the weekend before being kidnapped!

The pop star was among scores of famous faces used to decorate straw characters during the village's popular annual scarecrow festival.

However, Lady Gaga, pictured right, mysteriously went missing on Saturday evening.

"It's a shame that someone kidnapped Lady Gaga - she was there in position until about 5.30pm on Saturday and was getting plenty of attention from passers-by, but then went missing," organiser Jane Sinnott told

"Lady Gaga was last seen near Elvis and no-one knows what happened to her. It was disappointing, but it didn't spoil a fantastic weekend for the village with so much support from residents and visitors and we thank everyone who came along."

Large crowds of people flocked to see the two-day display of more than 50 scarecrows, which included famous faces such as X-Factor judge Simon Cowell and The Queen.

The winning entries were Lion King by the Barker family, second was Frozen by the Dixon family, and third was Bob Marley by the Talbot family. The people's choice scarcrows were Frozen and The Bridal March. The event raised funds for Brent Knoll Girlguiding.

Brent Knoll councillor Bob Filmer added: "It was a fantastic display and I don't think I've seen so many people visiting our village - there was a huge turnout."
