Highbridge Social Club will be celebrating its centenary today (Saturday, July 12th) with a special fun day.

The club, located in Church Street, is holding a whole day of family activities to mark the milestone.

The event will begin at 11am with a coffee morning for Macmillan Nurses. There will also be a visit from the Mayor, plus information about Highbridge’s history over the past 100 years.

From 1pm-3pm there will be kids activities with face painting, hair beading, magnet making and more.

Then at 2pm the club will hold a barbecue, followed at 4pm by a games triathlon with darts, snooker and skittles.

In the evening, from 7-8pm, there will be Irish bingo and at 8-9pm a sports and entertainment quiz followed by live music from a great Elvis impersonator.

Organiser Gina Hood said all are very welcome to attend the event.

The club is home to several such teams, and has a range of facilities, including function rooms available for hire. Membership of the club is open to men and women. For more details, ring 01278 782446.
