Train services re-start through Highbridge after flooding disruption

-

The flood-hit railway line between Taunton and Bristol Temple Meads re-opened on Monday (March 10th), with services running again through Highbridge Railway Station.

First Great Western said there will initially be a reduced service because of the severe damage caused to the line and signalling equipment at Bridgwater (pictured above last month).

There is a shuttle train service operating between Taunton and Weston-Super-Mare, calling at Bridgwater and Highbridge and Burnham station.

First Great Western has also announced that Cross Country trains are running again. The service between Exeter St Davids and Bristol Temple Meads will call at Taunton, Bridgwater and Highbridge although passengers have been warned the journey will take longer than normal.
