TODAY: Welly day at Berrow’s Animal Farm raises flood funds

-

A welly-themed fundraising day is set to be held at Berrow’s Animal Farm today (Saturday) to help those affected by Somerset flooding.

A group of Lympsham mums who recently held a half-term fundraising event in the village, featured here, have organised the second event for Saturday 15th March.

Organisers of The Welly Day are suggesting an entry donation of £2 per person with all funds going towards those on the flooded Somerset Levels.

One of the organisers, Sarah Saxon, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The ‘Wear your Wellies to Animal Farm Day’ on Saturday 15th March will hopefully hopefully raise some serious cash for the fund since it will be open to all schoolchildren in the area. Animal Farm have very kindly offered to have no entrance fee, just a minimum £2 donation which will go straight to the Somerset Levels Flooding fund.”
