Welly Day at Berrow’s Animal Farm raises £2,700 for floods fund

-

Hundreds of people pulled on their wellies to support a special fundraising day in Berrow on Saturday (March 15th) to raise cash for those affected by Somerset’s recent floods.

A total of £2,745.30 was raised during The Welly Day at Animal Farm, which was organised by a group of fundraising mums from Lympsham.

Animal Farm’s Krystal Finch, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Many thanks to everyone who so kindly came and donated so much to an amazing cause.”

“Today was an absolute success, with people coming from far and wide to show their support.”

“We really hope this fundraising makes a difference to even just a few lives of those in Somerset affected by the floods who have had such a horrendous year.”

The money was raised from entrance donations, animal feed purchases and playbarn activities.

The group of organisers, pictured right, also recently held a half-term fundraising event in Lympsham, featured here. The ‘Stay and Play’ event raised £185 for the Somerset flood appeal.
