Police re-open Burnham-On-Sea street after closure for accident

Police closed off a street in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday afternoon (September 5th) following an accident.

A car's wheel came off in Abingdon Street, leaving it stranded in the middle of the road - and prompting police to shut it, as pictured here.

The road was closed from 4.30pm, with diversions put in place for motorists, before a recovery service arrived to take the Pegueot away. The road fully re-opened by around 7pm.
