Young football players in Burnham-On-Sea have raised more than £1,300 for their club by packing shopping bags over the Christmas period.
Burnham United Juniors held a bag pack at Tesco in Burnham on Sunday December 20th, pictured, where they raised £565 and a further £754 at Highbridge’s Asda store last weekend.
Treasurer Sally Plume told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This is always a brilliant fundraiser for our club and the stores and customers are always so supportive and welcoming.”
“The bag packs at this time of year have become a tradition for us, having been run for almost ten years. The funds raised go towards promoting youth football in Burnham and helping us with running costs.”
“A big thank you goes to everyone who’s supported us this year.”
