Down Trail Run hailed a runaway success
of runners from across the region took part in a brand new trail
running event on Brean Down at the weekend.
races of 10km and 5km were held on Sunday morning (February 15th),
with the 138 runners starting from the foot of the Down, then
pacing across the steep slopes of the scenic outcrop to the wartime
fort and back.
Tony King, right, told Burnham-On-Sea.com the event had
been such a success that a follow-up event is now being planned
for later in the year.
