Churchfield School pupils plant bulbs at Highbridge's Apex Park

Spring has been on the minds of this group of young Highbridge residents as they planted hundreds of bulbs.

Pupils from Churchfield School recently helped green-fingered members of The Friends Of Apex Park to plant bulbs and saplings in the Highbridge park.

"The Year 2 children from Churchfield School were invited along by the Friends of Apex Park. The children enjoyed finding out about how to plant bulbs and they had a fantastic time, helping the volunteers make the park even more beautiful," said a spokeswoman.

"They look forward to returning in the spring to see the fruits of their labour."
